- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Horrible patient care! Having told Eckman that I was experiencing severe cramping and pain at both my one week and six week follow up appointments after surgery, he did nothing. I ended up in the emergency room three months post surgery with severe inflammation and infection of the small intestine, which had been nicked during surgery, per the radiologist's report. I called Eckman's office the following morning and left a message with his secretary to relay this information and he NEVER followed up with me. After a year of subsequent procedures, antibiotics and care from other physicians to get my symptoms under control I now have ulcerative colitis, with flares every couple of months. Dr. Eckman is without a doubt the worst gynecologist I have ever encountered, and regret allowing him to do my routine surgery.January 26, 2017by Deanna Hironimus-Wendt
